Interior Mitigation System: Through Attached Garage
System Description:
Typically one penetration hole is made in the concrete floor (slab) and exposing interior drain tile or a suction pit is created beneath penetration. Sometimes addition penetrations are needed. PVC vent pipe is connected to the penetration(s) and is routed through the rim joist to the attached garage, routed up wall, radon fan is installed in attic, then vented through the roof sheathing, using a pipe roof flashing. The radon gas is discharged safely above the roof. The PVC vent pipe protrudes a minimum of 12 inches above the roof and has the same appearance as a standard plumbing vent pipe. radon mitigation
